The local elected authorities from a village of the district of Floresti refuse giving names to streets

The local council from the village of Marculesti, Floresti district, refuse giving names to streets for the map of the locality, elaborated by the Cadastral Territorial Office (CTO) from Balti, DECA-press Agency transmits.

The head of CTO Balti, Andrei Chetrari, declared that the institution he represents has signed a memorandum with the local authorities from the village of Marculesti according to which the councillors accepted to elaborate the map of the village and to give names to streets. “Now, when the schema is finished, we cannot make the map of the village because of the local councillors’ refuse. This refuse is a paradox, because the elaboration of maps for villages is financed by the Government. Despite the fact the map is offered for free, the councillors refuse to accept it”, Andrei Chetrari specifies.

At the end of September, the problem of naming the streets in Maculesti was discussed at the sitting of the Council. Yet, this issue hasn’t been voted, because all councillors refused to vote. The elected local councillors promised to give names to streets only after the Government… repairs the roads from the locality.

„The councilors considered that the village doesn’t need any map. The locality counts 304 households and 900 inhabitants, people know each other and they do not need names of streets. Moreover, the refuse was also supported by the fact that the local budget doesn’t have funds for the further installation of indicators of streets, Nina Chisca, mayor of Marculesti, declared for DECA-press.

Representatives of CTO Balti will go to Marculesti, when the next sitting of he Village Council will be held, in order to explain the councillors the need of giving names to streets for making the map of the locality. // DECA-Press
