The inhabitants of a block of flats from Balti are afraid that a new construction might produce damage to their house

The inhabitants of a nine-storied block of flats from Balti complain that the durability of their house can be affected by the construction of a new block of flats placed just next to theirs, DECA-press Agency transmits.
Initially, there should be built a five-storied office block. But when, half a year ago, the inhabitants told their disapproval, the authorities asked the investor to build only a two-storied building.
According to the inhabitants, their house could be damaged. Besides, the short way to the bus station is blocked. The people are worried that the authorities gave the permission to build the block without respecting the distance that should separate their block of flats from the construction.
At the same time, the architect in chief of the locality declared that the technical expertises showed that the construction will not affect the block of flats in any way.
The Municipal Council from Balti have decided to form a group of experts who will explain to the people that there is no danger in building a new edifice near their block of flats. // DECA-Press
