By Diana Ungureanu/ Chisinau / Moldova.ORG/ -- Hotel managers of Romania opened on Christmas day a new attraction for tourists, an ice hotel, at an altitude of 2040 meters in Fagaras Mountains, next to Balea Lake.

The hotel is ready to meet tourists. But those who decide to spend a night at this hotel have to forget about the room footwear and gowns, and to fill out bags with warm clothes, because it is quite cold in this hotel and it seems that there is no central heating. The hotel temperature does not pass 2 centigrade and is not allowed to be more, because it would melt immediately.

Filming the tourist place was not unnoticed by journalists from the BBC, who themselves wanted to see and to convey to readers all over the world how a frozen palace looks like.

The theme of the hotel in this year is "ice sound", and the rooms have names of rooms are in tune with this theme: Jazz, Latino, Dance, Hip Hop, Chillout, Classical, Trance, House and Blues, writes "Adevarul" ("The Truth").

Ice Hotel from Balea is made of ice bricks, each of one meter in length. Inside there are beds and other furniture also made of ice.

One night of accommodation at the Ice Hotel will cost 150 RON per person. On Christmas and New Year celebrations there are added 250 RON for festive menu.

The hotel will be open until April 2012, and access to the area is possible only by cable car from Balea Lake.

Although it is not very comfortable to sit in the cold and pay money for this, it is quite unusual and unique to spend one night in such a hotel. Staying in the Ice Hotel will remain forever inscribed in the memory of tourists. It is also the hope Hotel Association who has decided to build it. An advantage of holiday in this hotel is that it is located in one of the most picturesque landscapes of Romania, Balea Lake.
