The Famous Singer Cesaria Evora Died (VIDEO)

By Diana Ungureanu/ Chisinau / Moldova.ORG/ -- The Popular singer Cesaria Evora died in the morning of December 17, in Mindelo, the Republic of Cape Verde, after being hospitalized on Friday because of a respiratory deficiency and pulmonary edema.

Cesaria Evora was admitted in September in critical conditions at a hospital in Paris because she was suffering of diabetes mellitus with the risk of kidney failure. Shortly afterwards, because of the the state of health, Cesaria Evora announced that she ends her career and will no longer support the concerts that have scheduled.

Cesaria Evora was born on august 27, 1941, in Cabo Verde. She released her first album "Distino di belta" in 1987, when he was 45 years. A great part of her songs were interpreted in the Creole dialect of the Portuguese language.
Cesaria Evora and began her international career at the 47-year-old. Her career begun to be recognized and appreciated internationally in 1988, with the release of his first album "La Diva Aux Pieds Nus" and with her first concert in Paris.

In 1991, she recorded her first acoustic album, which awakens the interest of journalists, with the first article in the French daily Liberation positive. This article had to pave the road to the hearts of future fans who over time have cheered her. Her songs, including "Besame Mucho", "Sentimento" and "Cabo Verde", were sung by millions of people.

Appreciated all over the globe, the "barefoot diva" didn't forget the roots of poverty in which she lived at the beginning of life, which is why every concert she played in bare feet, reminding the whole world that millions of people live in misery and poverty. Cesaria Evora kept financially the whole educational system of the small Republic of Cape Verde (Cabo Verde), thanks to her, thousands of people have learned to write and read.

Also she has held several Grammy Awards, the French Prix de la Musique, Vitoire was a Knight of the Légion d'honneur (France), etc.

Cesaria Evora’s death is a great pity for all the people who knew her and who listened to her wonderful songs.
