The European Commission offers the Republic of Moldova 3 million Euros for overcoming the consequences of the drought

Approximately 14 thousand social-vulnerable families from the Republic of Moldova, who suffered as a result of the last summer drought, have been already provided forage for kettle due to the financial contribution of the European Commission through the Humanitarian Aid General Department (ECHO) and other donors.
As DECA-press informs, in the next few weeks, over 6 thousand social-vulnerable families, nearly 4,2 of whom are from the Transnistrian region, will be given forage.
In total, approximately 9 thousand tons of forage will be distributed.
The European Commission via the Humanitarian Aid General Department (ECHO) offered the Republic of Moldova 3 million euros for overcoming the crisis of the drought within the project of the United Nations Organization (UNO) „Provoding Urgent Assistance and technical assistance for overcoming the crisis of the drought in Moldova”.
The project is conducted by UNDP in common with FAO, UNFPA, UNICEF, other UNO agencies, the Government of the Republic of Moldova and other partners of implementation of the project. // DECA-Press
