The democratic women fight against cancer
The women organisation of the Democratic Party (DP) from Moldova launched a campaign aiming at informing the population concerning cancer diseases on Monday, The World Cancer Day, DECA-press Agency informs.
The MP, Valentina Buliga, declares that the purpose of this campaign is to make the population more vigilant.
„Cancer can be prevented. That is why we want the citizens of Moldova to know the causes of the apparition of this disease. Some of them are: alcohol excess and smoking,” the MP said.
The democratic women distributed informative brochures as well as pink ribbons which symbolize the fight against the disease.
According to statistics, there are more than 41 thousand people suffering from cancer at the Oncology Institute. // DECA-Press
