The activity of judges in Moldova can be assessed online

A platform for assessing the activity of judges in Moldova was launched – judecatori.evaluez.eu. There are 439 judges representing 54 courts are registered in the data base.

The platform gives 5 basic criteria according to which the judges are evaluated: professionalism, incorruptibility, trial organization, professional ethics, quality of judgments. The activity of judges is assessed on a scale from 1 to 5, 1 being the lowest grade and 5 – the highest.

For an argued evaluation, the user should assign a comment to the judge. On the homepage of the platform, the top of judges with highest grades is published, as well as the latest assessments. Judges’ tax return for 2008-2011, the judgments appealed before the ECHR and articles in media are also published on the platform. The information is updated on a permanent basis.

The forum page offers the possibility to access interesting topics for everyone. The topics can be accessed for very judge, court, appellate court or in general.

It is to note that judecatori.evaluez.eu is a project developed and created voluntary by Alexandru and Elena Zgardan with the financial support of US State Department.
