Sterilization of stray dogs in Chisinau starts March 23
A new project to neuter stray dogs in Chisinau will be initiated on March 23. The Chisinau City Hall signed a relevant assistance contact with the Austrian organization Vier Pfoten.
The project’s manager Iona Dungler told a news conference on Thursday that the organization will offer the necessary equipment and a mobile clinic for catching, disinfecting, vaccinating and sterilizing stray dogs. Afterward, the spayed dogs will be kept under supervision.
The project will last for 6 – 8 weeks. The mobile clinic will be located on the territory of the Zoological Garden in Chisinau. About 35 stray dogs will be sterilized every day.
