Significant articles about National Wine Day in Moldova published in specialized foreign media

Significant articles about the "National Wine Day-2007" celebration have already been published in the specialized media in Romania and Czech Republic and are to be published in Poland and England, Moldova-Vin Agro-industrial Agency specifies.

According to the Moldova-Vin Agency Press Service, representatives of British, Czech, Polish and Romanian media institutions participated in this year's edition of the Wine Day.

The journalists were invited by the USAID assistance project Competition Enhancement and Enterprise Development (CEED) and Moldova-Vin Agency, the support project MEPO/MIDA, and the Wine Producers Trade Union of Moldova.

Moldova WineFollowing the foreign journalists' visit, articles about the "National Wine Day-2007" have already appeared in the Romanian magazine Wine & Spirit Club, Czech magazine Beverage & Gastro, and are to be published in the Polish magazines Czas Wina (Krakow for wine amateur clubs series) and Magazyn Wino (the most significant wine magazine) as well as in the English magazines Wine & Spirit Club and Harpers.

The National Wine Day is celebrated annually in the second Sunday of October and is held under the patronage of the Moldovan president. The festivity is aimed at promoting the country's image, local wine products and developing tourism. The first edition of this holiday was organized in 2002.

Tourists from over 70 countries and official delegations from Romania, Ukraine, Russia, China, Czech Republic and Israel visited this year's edition of the Wine Day. // BASA-Press
