Romania: Former journalist and baby murdered at their home
A former journalist together with her five-month-old daughter was killed at their home in Romania’s Northern city of Iasi. The husband of the woman discovered the bodies yesterday while returning home. The kid was stabbed, while the 29-year-old woman had her neck cut.
According to Adevarul daily, the woman is a former reporter who worked in the local press. After she ended her job in journalism, the woman had worked as a teacher of civic education at a penitentiary in the city. The relatives say the suspect might be the woman’s brother who has schizophrenias and who disappeared for more than a week already.
The police say the murderer changed his clothes and washed himself of blood after the crime. Apparently he has forgotten his ID card and cell phone in the apartment of the victims. There is currently carried out a thorough investigation of the case.
