Three more companies – Xerox Moldova, Sun Communications and Business Center in Cimislia - and three new publications – Vremea Remonta, Cuvantul Liber and Business-Info – have joined the initiative group for founding the Press Circulation Audit Bureau of Moldova.

According to the Independent Journalism Center (CIJ), the initiative group now comprises 27 members, including 15 media outlets, 8 advertising agencies and 4 advertising clients.

The initiative group is open to other organizations that want to take part in the creation of the Bureau, which is considered an indispensable instrument for a media market that wants to be professional and transparent. Those that want to join can fill in a declaration of intent available on the website of the CIJ.
Until the Bureau is founded, the Independent Journalism Center will coordinate the activity of the initiative group and will provide information to those interested.

The CIJ project “Enhancing Relevant Institutions’ Capacities for Founding the Press Circulation Audit Bureau of Moldova” is implemented with the support of the Representative Office in Moldova of Eurasia Foundation, from the financial resources offered by USAID and the Foreign Ministry of the Netherlands. The CIJ does not form part of the initiative group and does not intend to participate as founding member.
