Pram baby drowns in Australia
Sydney (dpa) - A baby strapped in a pram drowned in an Adelaide river Friday while his mother talked on a mobile phone, news reports in Australia said.
The woman told police that when she finished her phone call the pram and her 5-month-old son were gone.
The pram may have rolled down a slope and into a river. The pram was pulled out of the river but the child died later in hospital.
"There is some indication that a third person may be involved in the matter," police spokesman Mark Fisher told national broadcaster ABC. // © 2006 DPA
