Plane crash kills 1 in Romania

A small plane crashed in Romania’s Prahova district today around 11 AM (local time). The pilot, the only person on board died after the aircraft touched the ground. The plane crashed in a field close to a guesthouse where nobody was at that time.

“The plane fell on a field, close to a pension, in a region where no one was around. After the impact, the aircraft went up in flames, the pilot dying,” said Daniel Nicolae, the head of Prahova ambulance, quoted by Romania’s Mediafax news agency.

The plane was participating in an aviation test for landing accuracy. According to experts in aviation, the small aerodrome from Banesti town does not have sufficient technology for surveillance.
