The parliamentary faction of the Democratic Party (PD) is concerned about the level of existence in the Republic of Moldova and believes that the future of the country is in danger, DECA-press transmits.

PD launched a statement in this context where it shows its concern about the proportion between the incomes of the population and the minimal level of existence, which constituted 1099 lei in 2007.

The faction focuses the attention mainly on the fact that the employees from the agricultural field, who constitute 30% of the employed population, covered only 94% of this minimal level, and those working in the educational and cultural field exceeded it only by 16% and, respectively, 15%.

At the same time, PD mentions that, despite the fact the minimal level fixed by the sate for one child is 394 lei. The monthly allowance provided to him covers only 25% of this sum of money.

The democrats affirm that the average pension also covers only 58% of the minimal level of the existence, and the situation is worse in the case of the minimal pension.
PD considers that, in this situation, “it is not a surprise that young people go abroad, and many of them legalize their living and remain there”.

The faction considers that, if measures are not taken urgently for the creation of new jobs and assuring some decent salaries, „Moldova risks remaining without citizens and disappearing from the map”. // DECA-Press
