Pasha Parfeny will represent Moldova at Eurovision 2012 in Baku
Pasha Parfeny with the song “Lautar” was chosen as the one to represent Moldova at Eurovision Song Contest in Azerbaijan from other 20 singers which entered the competition tonight.
Moldova will compete in the first semi-final with Romania, Russia, Albania, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Belgium, Island, Montenegro, Latvia, Greece, Finland, Cyprus, Denmark, Ireland, San Marino and Israel on May 24, 2012.
Last year the Republic of Moldova was represented by Zdob si Zdub band with “So lucky” song, ranking the 12th place.
Eurovision Song Contest is a European competition of the best songs. It is organized every year in the country which has won the trophy of last year’s competition. The first ever Eurovision Song Contest was organized on May 24, 1956 in Lugano, Switzerland. This year the contest will be organized in Azeri’s capital of Baku.
