Parliamentary commission elects two candidates for BCC member
The parliamentary commission for culture, science, education, sport and mass media on October 22 selected two candidates for the two posts of member of the Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC).
The candidates were chosen out of nine persons that submitted applications. The two candidates are Marian Pocaznoi, employee of the BCC Examination and Licensing Division, and Ignat Vasilachi, journalist and president of “St Gheorghe” Peasants’ Cartel. The first was elected by nine votes, while the second by eight votes.

The candidates will be examined by the legal commission for appointments and immunities and them confirmed by the Parliament.
The two posts fell vacant on October 20, when the tenures of Valeriu Frumusachi and Vlad Turcanu expired.
The Broadcasting Coordination Council consists of nine members.
