Paralympic Games: the representative of Moldova was ranked ninth

Yesterday, September 3rd, the representative of Moldova to Paralympics in London, Stefan Rosca was ranked 9th for powerlifting. He competed with other 13 participants in the category of 75 kg.

Stefan Rosca, aged 22, is the youngest participant in this category. He was able to lift 160 kg and 167 kg at those two attempts. It is to mention that the Moldovan athlete lost his feet after a terrible accident. Beforehand, Stefan practiced boxing.

Stefan Rosca will receive 20.000 Euro from the state according to awards ranking corresponding to his performance at Paralympic Games.

The Republic of Moldova is represented by Stefan Rosca and Larisa Marinenkova at 2012 Paralympics in London. Larisa Marinenkova failed to qualify in the final test for powerlifting.
