Orthodox Church takes attitude towards sexual minorities’ acts
The Orthodox Church condemns the meeting scheduled by the sexual minorities for May 11 and says that the homosexuality in the Orthodox Church is regarded as a sin that was and will be denounced by the church and the authorities, while the promotion of homosexuality is a return to a pagan way of living.
In a press release, the Moldovan Metropolitan Church says that the homosexuals’ parade in Chisinau is a new attack on the bi-millenary Christian values from this zone and an infringement of the moral norms. At the same time, the Church is concerned about the involvement of organizations that promote this social virus and pursue ill aims (the editor’s note -“GenderDoc-M”).
“This sin will simultaneously bring enmity and real war between the sexes. The sin is against the ration and the instinct and was punished with death in the Old Law,” the communiqu? from the Metropolitan Church says.
The Orthodox Church also says that all the homosexual acts are inadmissible from moral viewpoint as they harm the purpose and direct functions of the human organs and do not have a procreation value. The Church cannot bless the homosexuals that want to live a sexual life together.
In the end, the Orthodox Church calls on the people of good faith to take attitude to such acts so as to stamp out this phenomenon.]
The sexual minorities’ parade set for May 11 failed after numerous protesters opposed the initiative of “GenderDoc-M” Center to take to the streets. At about 11.00, the bus conveying representatives of the sexual minorities was blocked by the protesters and the rally of lesbians and gays was hindered.//REPORTER.MD
