New security system appears in Chisinau airport
A new integrated aviation security system, created by the Elbit Systems Ltd Israeli concern, was launched in the Chisinau international airport.
According to the airport administration, this project was realized for half a year. The system provides a total video observation of the entire airport along its perimeter and the adjacent zone, which fact rules out any possibility of an unsanctioned access to the airport territory, as well as any risk factor. The system envisages also a biometrical control in the airport.
Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin, who participated in the presentation ceremony of the new security system, underscored the importance of its introduction under conditions of new challenges, faced by the contemporary society.
He underlined that the security of the Moldovan citizens is one of the main tasks of the leadership of the Republic of Moldova.
The President made acquaintance with the activities of the Chief Security Center, from where all the integrated security system of the airport and the Aviation Security Training Center are managed. He visited the checkpoint of the airport.
