Municipal institutions’ accounts blocked again
The bank accounts of a number of Chisinau institutions have been blocked. The Centru Office of the Ministry of Justice’s Enforcement Department ordered that 132 million lei in the accounts be sequestrated.
Among the municipal institutions whose accounts were blocked are: IM Liftservice, IM Piata Centrala, Autosalubritate Division, the Capital Construction Division, the Urban Bus Company, the Electric Transport Company, the police departments of Rascani, Botanica, Buiucani, and Ciocana districts, etc.
The accounts were blocked at the request of SA Termocom under the decision of the Chisinau Economic Court allowing levying the debt of 147 million lei. Earlier, the local authorities paid 15 million lei of the debt to Termocom.
Last month, the accounts of a number of municipal subdivisions had been blocked owing to the debt owed to the heat supplier Termocom or because employees of the Ministry of the Interior and the General Prosecutor’s Office and judges have not been provided with dwellings.
The Chisinau City Hall says it will appeal the ordinances of the Enforcement Department to court.
