The Republic of Moldova, considered to be the poorest country in Europe, will provide the amount of 100 thousand USD to Haiti Republic, a country hit by a fierce earthquake, DECA-press Agency informs.

Chisinau provided these funds in order for Haiti to overcome the consequences of the tragedy.

On Friday, the Moldovan President Vlad Filat addressed a pity message to his Haiti homologue, Jean-Max Bellerive, where he mentioned that “he follows the terrible events from Haiti country with much attention and sorrow”.

An earthquake with the magnitude of 7,3 was recorded on 13 January in the capital city of Haiti Port-au-Prince, causing hundreds of thousands of victims and considerable damage.
