Moldova’s National Security Strategy took effect

The National Security Strategy of Moldova came into force after published in the Official Gazette on June 3.

The political document assesses the national and international security framework used by Moldova, defines the state’s objectives in the area of national security, the general human values and principles that must be promoted and protected by the state, and reasserts the irreversibility of the course to European integration.

The permanent neutrality status of Moldova is a key principle of the National Security Strategy, which sends a political message to the European Union and the Western partners, reasserting the irreversibility of the plans to transform Moldova into a democratic and European state of law.
