The National Coalition for Participation “The Voice of Roma” informs that on 21-22 of December 2007, in town of Cahul (Southern Moldova) for the first time in Moldova there was organized a capacity building training for the Roma NGOs from Moldova. The training was meant to develop project writing capacities of Roma NGOs from Moldova and assist representatives of these organizations to come up with concrete project proposals on how to improve the situation of Moldovan Roma in the filed of Education. The training was assisted by Florin Nasture – international expert in Fundraising and Project management and Roma Education Fund’s Country Facilitator for Romania.
As a result of this training, representatives of 6 Roma active NGOs, including members of the National Coalition for Participation “The Voice of Roma” who had agreed before to work towards improving the situation of Roma in the field of education, have been familiarized with terms, eligibility criteria as well as modality of writing project proposals.
