А Moldovan border guard risks to be sent to jail for having hand-cuffed two customs officers without any reason

An office of the Border Officers' Service of Republic of Moldova is accused of jobbery in the case of two employees of the Customs Department. The frontier guard is accused of the fact he had kept for many hours two customs officers hand-cuffed without any reasons.
The adjunct of the Military Prosecutor from Balti, Iurie Caraman, declared for DECA-press Agency that the accused has the degree of lieutenant-colonel and has a high post at the Nord Department of the Frontier Guard service in time of a control operation, the accused man discovered at the customs check-point of the borders „Lipcani-Podivirivca” two customs officers dressed in usual clothes. At the officer's order, the two employees of the Custms Department were arrested under the pretext that they had violated the frontier working regime. As a result, they were kept hand-cuffed for three hours in a car with the smell of fuel.
According to the same source, the customs officers asked the frontier guard officers for the right to introduce themselves and show their documents, but the accused man refused to offer them this chance. The victims of the abuse were released after the involvement of the customs authorities from Lipcani.
The officer risks to be sentenced to five years' imprisonment. // DECA-Press
