Moldovan bomb squad has deactivated over 100 explosive devices
The combat engineers of the National Army over the first five months of this year neutralized 102 explosive devices that have remained in the ground since World War II. The devices posed an increased danger to the popualtion.
According to the Ministry of Defense, recently the bomb squad dealt with a perilous case. A defensive grenade F-1 was discovered in a yard in Soroca town.
The Balti-based infantry brigade “Moldova” went to the scene and destroyed an explosive device dating back to World War II. Its shell splinters may reach a distance of 200 meters if exploded and cause fatalities.
Another F-1 grenade was demined in Volintiri village in Stefan-Voda district // Reporter.MD
