Moldova has the worst roads in the world, study
Moldova is on top of a world ranking. However, it is not about something to be proud of. The Global Competitiveness Report 2012-2013 scored Moldova as the country with the worst roads.
It ranks 144 out of 144 countries analyzed. That shows that the Eastern European country, which gained its independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, has the worst quality of roads in the world, scoring only 1.5 points.
Haiti has better roads than Moldova and scored 1.8 points. Romania has 1.9 points, whereas Mongolia and Guineea – 2 points each.
The countries with the best quality of roads are France, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Portugal and Oman.
