Luxembourg joins Chisinau-based common visa issuing center
Moldova's citizens will be able to apply for and get visas for Luxembourg at the Chisinau-based common visa issuing centre, after this country on 1 June joined the centre placed at the headquarters of Hungary's embassy in Moldova.
Luxembourg will be the ninth country which joined the common visa issuing centre, the first of this kind in Europe.
The centre was inaugurated on 25 April 2007. Till the joining of Luxembourg, the centre has been giving visas for eight countries: Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Slovenia, Sweden and Hungary.
Last autumn, the headquarters of the visa issuing centre was restored, and the capacity of processing documents received from Moldovans increased.
