Let’s do it, Moldova! The cleanup has started
“Let’s do it, Moldova!” The citizens of Moldova are invited to join the voluntary workgroups around the country to clean it of waste and rubbish. The event started early today.
In Moldova’s capital of Chisinau over 20 locations have been identified where the volunteers will meet to do community service. The main parks and rivers of the capital will be cleaned up.
Roughly 50,000 plastic bags, T-Shirts and brochures have been bought for this day. According to the organizers, over 150,000 Moldovans are expected to join the cause. More than 100,000 people collected 7,000 tones of rubbish last year during the same action.
Moldova joined the cause across other European countries to do cleanup today.
