Less jobs on the labor market of Moldova

Over 5,700 jobs were available in Moldova at the national level on May 15, 2012, according to the National Agency of Employment. The most jobs could be found in Moldova’s capital of Chisinau (1832 places), followed by Balti (664) and Orhei (257). Only 5 jobs could be found in Briceni town and 14 in Donduseni town.

The northern towns of Moldova have the fewest jobs available. Only 25.6% of the jobs available at the national level are for those with a university degree acquired. Over 230 jobs were available in the health care system. Currently there are also wanted accountants, university professors, secretaries, guardians and others.

Roughly 40.300 people were officially registered as unemployed in May 2012 in Moldova. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the unemployment rate in Moldova for 2011 was about 6.7%.
