Police in Las Vegas were looking Wednesday for two young males who opened fire on a group of students and wounded six people getting off a bus.

Clark County, Nev., Sheriff Doug Gillespie said in a news conference that it was suspected the shooting stemmed from fight at a high school Tuesday that centered on a girl, the Las Vegas Journal-Review reported.

"This is not a random act," Gillespie said. "We are looking at this as someone who was there for a particular individual or individuals."

A 14-year-old witness who asked not to be identified said a fight had occurred at the bus stop Monday between black and Hispanic teens and a fight erupted again Tuesday at Mojave High School.

KLAS-TV, Las Vegas, reported four of the six victims were students at the school.

By Wednesday morning, two young males remained hospitalized -- an 18-year-old in critical condition and a 17-year-old in stable condition, the reports said.  // Copyright 2007 by United Press International
