By Diana Ungureanu/ Chisinau / Moldova.ORG/ -- Take a rest and enjoy your eyes, even digitally, with landscapes that you will not see anywhere else than in the Gorge of Ramet.

In the Eastern and Western sides of reservation is bounded by the even field that surrounds the steep slopes of the massive limestone Uzmezeu to the North, Fundoi to the South and sharply fall in the Valley of Geoagiu.
The reservation represents a picturesque landscape, very little changed by man; it is created in the limestone, which preserves a number of rare plants, including the numerous natural monuments.
Gorge of Ramet are the main objective of the central side of Trascau. If you venture to visit the monastery of Ramet or to admire the splendid landscape, you will have a special experience. One of the most popular trails, called "The Path of the Goat", pervades the gorges on a footpath suspended on 100 m above the water. Although it is not suitable for tourists, this route is recommended for persons experienced in climbing.
On the whole length of the gorges there are traces of an old caves, which had a form of tunnel. The gradual collapse of the ceiling of the cave led to the creation and subsequent development of the gorges. This can be proved by the fact that the gorges have a transverse profile in "V", wider at the top.
Although it runs only for a length of about 100 m, these gorges are particularly spectacular. They have an epigenetical nature and an appearance of huge gates, displaying numerous towers, pillars, cracks and grottoes.
Ramet Valley, in addition to sectors of gorges, has also about 47 caves and numerous dolines, gullies and towers. The best known of these caves is Ornez Cave (320 meters length) and Barren Cave (212 meters length).
The density of the unique limestone formations impresses the viewer, leaving him out of breath for a long time afterwards. In these places you can be wondered of how omnipotent the nature and can be and how spectacular are the landscapes that it creates.
