Iurie Foca, the winner of the photo contest Imaging Moldova-Diversity and Identity
The first prize at the photo contest „Imaging Moldova - Diversity and Identity”, organized by OSCE Mission to Moldova, was given to Iurie Foca, DECA-press Agency informs.
Foca's photo „Satencele” (The Villagers) was selected by an independent jury of 800 works presented by 85 photographers.
Dorin Nicolaescu-Mustata was awarded the second prize, and the third prize was shared by Egor Tetiusev and Octav Esinencu.
The OSCE Mission organized this context with the aim of consolidating the free and professional press from Moldova, offering local photographers the opportunity to share their views and talent, as well as intensifying the display of documentary photo in the country.
The best 50 photos will be displayed at the exhibition hosted by the OSCE Mission to Moldova until January 5th, 2008.
