Humanitarian aid of 12 million Dollars from U.S. Government
Today, 22nd September, Moldova received a humanitarian aid worth 12 million Dollars for medical institutions of the country, notifies Government’s Press Service.
The batch of humanitarian aid consists of medicines and medical devices and values 12 million U.S. Dollars. Those 73 blades weight about 15 tons and include: antibiotics, antidiabetic, cardiovascular medicines, antihypertensive drugs, medicines to treat asthma, analgesic and anti-inflammatory medicines. Among medical devices there are tables for examination, devices for laboratory, needles and syringes.
The medicines and medical devices offered to Moldovan health system by American partners will be distributed to republican, municipal and district state medical institutions throughout the country according to the profile and medical services provided. About 100.000 patients across the country will benefit from the humanitarian aid.
The batch of humanitarian aid is delivered in the framework of the partnership established between the US Department of State, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation and the NGO “Heart to Heart International”.
