Grigore Vieru's native house in Pererita to be turned into museum
A commemorative museum will be set up at the native house of a Moldovan departed poet, Grigore Vieru, in the village of Pererita, Briceni district, northern Moldova. A bust of the poet will be set in the yard of the gymnasium from this settlement. At the same time, a documentary on the life and activity of great poet Grigore Vieru will be produced as well.
Actions in this respect are included in an action programme for the commemoration of poet Grigore Vieru for 2010-2013, approved by the government today. The programme includes 39 actions concerning the publication of the complete works, organisation of exhibitions, contests, respects, recitals, TV programmes, shows dedicated to the great poet's memory.
Culture Minister Boris Focsa has said that, among the first actions included in this programme, there are the organisation of a literary and musical show in the memory of the great poet on 11-12 February 2010 and the setting of a bust to poet Grigore Vieru on the Classics' Alley. Also, Fosca specified that the programme sees the establishment and annual awarding of a prize, Grigore Vieru, for outstanding achievements in the philology and literature field, as well as the establishment of a nominal scholarship, Grigore Vieru, for students from the faculties of humanist sciences.
Attending the government meeting, the wife of the departed poet, Raisa Vieru, declared for the inclusion in this programmes of a provision on the creation of a cultural centre, Grigore Vieru, in Chisinau, which would have also a library and a hall for reciting or songs.
Prime Minister Vlad Filat assured that the state will provide every necessary financial support for carrying out these actions. At the same time, the prime minister said that 2011 is to be declared the Grigore Vieru year, so that all the institutions involved in the commemoration actions be prepared to hold them.
MOLDPRES said that an information note of this decision says that about 2.2 million lei is to be allocated for the implementation of all the commemorative actions in 2010.
