Gas supply to be installed in 751 Moldovan villages

Moldova will have to install the gas supply to another 751 villages, Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin said at a sitting, devoted to the gasification problems.

At a sitting the President said that the gasification works are already going on in some of 751 villages. It was announced that the construction of about 40 gas pipelines had been completely or partially finished, but in virtue of various reasons they had not been put into operation.

The President demanded to clear up within 10 days the reasons why the completed gas pipelines had not been put into operation, in order to solve the above problems.

It is envisaged to build 125 gas pipelines between villages before October 1, 2009 and to begin the gasification of villages, which have projects, in August-September.

For the last years the gas pipelines were built in more than 900 villages.
