Four injured as Romanian plane makes emergency evacuation in Italy
Four people have been injured as a result of an emergency evacuation from a CarpartAir airplane in Florence, Italy, Romanian media report. The plane was due to take off from the runaway when suddenly the pilot reported fire on the left engine of the aircraft. Over 40 passengers were onboard.
The incident took place around 11:40 AM local time. The plane was scheduled to fly to Timisoara, Romania, media sources report. All the departures and arrivals on the airport were delayed for a short period of time.
According to a press release of the airline, there has been a false fire alarm onboard and the passengers have been evacuated. They say nobody was injured.
Paula Ardelean, CarpatAir’s spokesperson said the passengers will be brought to the final destination tomorrow.
