Flights delayed at Chisinau Airport due to false bomb alert
Six flights scheduled to take off from Chisinau International Airport were delayed early in the morning after a false bomb alert. An unknown person called at the airport around 5:10 AM and said there is a bomb plot at the site.
In a short time the police came and all the passengers and crew were evacuated from the airport. After two hours of investigations, no dangerous devices were found. Flights to Munich, Bucharest, London, Timisoara, Moscow and Sochi were affected by the incident. The flights were resumed around 7:45 AM.
According to the police, a suspect was found. If he will be found guilty, the person risks up to two years in prison.
