Fla. bank robber favors luxury purses
Florida police are looking for a woman with apparently expensive tastes who has held up three banks in the Jacksonville area in the last three weeks.
The robber, described as a slim black woman in a baseball cap and sunglasses, strolled into the first bank Aug. 30, carrying what looked like a Louis Vuitton purse and demanding all large bills, WJXT-TV, Jacksonville, Fla., reported Sunday. She walked out with about $5,000.
During another heist, the woman appeared to be carrying a Coach handbag.
At each of the last two robberies, she also wore the cap and sunglasses, but used a note to demand cash at the last robbery, WJXT reported.
Police urged anyone who could identify the woman to contact authorities before more banks get robbed. // Copyright 2007 by United Press International
