Five sentenced for 15 cases of human trafficking in Moldova

Five people have been sent to Court after being caught ‘hiring’ girls aged 18-26 from Moldova to allegedly work in Cyprus or Dubai. They told the girls they would earn more than $1,000 per month. 15 young women are victims of this network of traffickers, the Prosecution Court informed in a press release. The traffickers organized the trip of the girls to the destination where they have been sexually exploited.

According to the Prosecution Court, four of the culprits are preventively arrested. There are eight Moldovan nationals and three foreigners among the members of the group.

A similar case took place in May this year when five men were sentenced to many years in prison after they have been caught creating and managing a pedophiles’ network in Moldova.
