FBI: Principal ditched computer with porn
The FBI in Arizona says an elementary school principal left a computer with loaded with child pornography at a house he sold.
Jeffery Yazwa has been charged with 12 counts of sexual exploitation of children, The Arizona Republic said.
Yazwa is the principal of the Walker-Butte School, a kindergarten through eighth-grade school in the Florence district outside Phoenix. He requested a leave of absence last weekend.
The school board notified parents of the charges against Yazwa in writing Thursday.
From 1995 to 2002, Yazwa taught in Chandler, another Phoenix suburb.
The FBI said the computer was turned over by someone who had come into possession of it after Yazwa abandoned it.
"This is a very sad moment for us," said Amy Fuller, president of the Florence school board and mother of a Walker-Butte student. "I trusted this man. I trusted him with my own daughter." // Copyright 2007 by United Press International
