Families with children will receive assistance on International Children’s Day
On the occasion of the International Children’s Day celebrated on June 1, a number of families with children in Moldova will benefit from aid. About 4 million lei was allocated from the national population support fund for the purpose.
According to the Ministry of Social Protection, Family and Child, the aid will be offered to the families with many children and with disabled children, to one-parent families and families with non-institutionalized orphans, to family type children’s homes and the professional parent assistance service.
A family benefits from minimum 150 lei from the national population support fund, while the family type children’s homes receive by 300 lei for a child. The local authorities increase these benefits depending on the resources available in the local population support funds.
The lists of beneficiaries are drawn up by mayors’ office and district social assistance and family protection divisions.
A sum of 3 million lei was allotted from the national population support fund for the purpose last year. An additional 2.24 million lei was allocated from the local funds // Reporter.MD
