Enjoy a Theatrical Play in Tram (VIDEO)

By Diana Ungureanu/ Chisinau / Moldova.ORG/ -- The locality Sibiu invites all lovers of the theatre to watch a show, but not in a theater hall as, perhaps, you are accustomed, but in a tramcar wagon.

A suburban train more particularly link the Rasinari, Sibiu, Romania, and because it is not a simple tram that has function just to carry passengers, as any urban transport, but it is a tourist tram, incidentally the first tram of this kind in Romania.

The municipality and the Director of public transport have decided to introduce this tramway to make guests stay much more pleasing in Sibiu. During this trip there is crossed the following road - Sibiu - forest Dumbrava - the Zoo -

Town Museum – Rasinari and it is completed in about 30 minutes.

But more than 5 years in this wagon was played theatrical presentation. The first theatrical play that was played, and the only until this year, was "A Tramcar named Popescu".

In May 2011, the Repertory of the theatre of tram has been enriched with another play, played in this original atmosphere, namely "Temptation of Cioran".

The play "A streetcar named Popescu", which reached the 68th performance in the tram, was mounted for the first time at the International Festival of Theatre in 2006.

The shows played in tramcars are very requested by locals and guests of Sibiu. Tickets run out pretty quickly. These plays represent a community performance, travelling, unconventional, experimental and alternative that has success.

Trams that run today were received as a donation from Switzerland in 1995, being manufactured in 1950 and rehabilitated by public transport company.

These trams are used for rental by the groups of tourists; in the two wagons of the tram are available 52 seats.

A play seen in such a background could have more resonance for the soul of the watcher, through the strangeness of this phenomenon. Try and you'll see.
