Elderly man accused of rape
A 78-year-old retired Marine is accused of raping a fellow resident of a veterans home in California.
Andrew Genninger is accused of sexually assaulting a 65-year-old woman in her bedroom at the Veterans Home of California in Chula Vista. Genninger, who claims he is impotent, is being held on $150,000 bond pending a trial next month, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported Wednesday.
Chula Vista Superior Court Judge William H. McAdam ruled this week that physical evidence showed the woman could have been sexually assaulted, the newspaper said. // Copyright 2007 by United Press International
