Destruction of National Army stockpiled munitions temporarily halted
The destruction of the National Army’s stockpiled munitions with the expired storage life carried out at the Bulboaca Shooting Range was temporarily stopped, the spokeswoman for the Ministry of Defense Ala Diaconu has told REPORTER.MD.
The process was halted in order to avoid fires while the cereals are being reaped from the land adjoining the shooting range.
As REPORTER.MD informed earlier, the disposal of munitions of the third category with the storage life expired started at the Bulboaca Shooting Range on May 29.
The project is implemented in concert with the OSCE Mission, which offered special detonation equipment.
So far, the combat engineers have destroyed 30,000 pieces of munitions out of the about 49,000 planned.//REPORTER.MD
