Danish company installs first smoking cabins in Moldova

The East West Import Export Danish company, which is the founder of the Danish House in Chisinau is installing the first smoking cabins in Moldova.

Export Manager of the Danish company Vladimir Bejenaru told Infotag that these cabins are designed to divide smokers from non-smokers.

“These cabins are isolated and air-conditioned very well. Even smokers themselves are protected in these cabins from smoke’s detrimental influence, as the air is filtered. There are ashtrays, which can take up to 10 thousand cigarette-stubs, in these cabins. The cabins can be equipped with DVD players and TV-sets. They must be connected to electric power sources. The energy consumption is very low” Bejenaru said.

He said that the first cabin has already been installed in the Megapolis shopping center in the Ciocana capital city sector.

“We are negotiating the installation of such cabins in the Shopping Mаlldova trade center. Smoking is forbidden in public places and this cabin offers a solution of this problem for smokers” the export manager said.

In his opinion, these cabins present a very reasonable solution in combating smoking.

“These cabins are very popular all over the world, as they give a chance to smokers to smoke in public places and to be protected. The cabins can be placed in any place. Smoking in them is free”, Bejenatu remarked.

The East West Import Export SRL Danish company began its activities in Moldova in 2009. It deals with exports and imports of goods from Moldova and Denmark.
