Dance for educational inclusion of disabled children
“Child, Community, Family” Association organized a flash mob today in support for the disabled children in Moldova. The main goal of the initiative was to inform the public opinion about the necessity of including the special-needs children in the regular schools. The participants, mainly teenagers and children in wheelchairs, danced to raise the awareness of their problems. There is also a donation campaign which is meant to support the educational efforts of the disabled children.
The organizers say that many disabled children cannot develop themselves because they are marginalized and discriminated. Most of them deal with serious issues while trying to access an educational institution. The schools do not have ramps or elevators for wheelchairs.
