Cooperation agreement between the General Prosecution and the Institute for Penal Reform
The General Prosecutor of Republic of Moldova, Valeriu Gurbulea, and the director of the Institute for Penal Reform, Igor Dolea, concluded on Tuesday an Agreement of Cooperation between the institutions they represent under the aspect of implementation of the institution of mediation in penal cases, DECA-press Agency informs.
The agreement aims at establishing durable relations of the governmental and nongovernmental sector in the field of of reform of the penal justice system by means of implementation of alternatives of detention, according to universal and European standards and practices.
According to the agreement, the parts will negotiate and inform each other in the field of restaurative justice, will prepare in common the mechanism of transmission of possble ways of mediation by the prosecutor to the mediation service. Both parts will participate in common at the elaboration of some programs for the reform of the penal justice system, in general, and of the restaurative justice, in particular.
As the press service of the General Prosecution, the agreement came into effect on the date when it had been concluded, that is on Tuesday, March 11th. // DECA-Press
