Chinese wolfberry fruit is recalled
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall of Great Wall brand Chinese Wolfberry fruit because it might contain undeclared sulfities.
Strong America Ltd. of Long Island City, N.Y., distributed the product in uncoded seven-ounce packages in Georgia, New York and Tennessee.
The FDA said consumption of 10 milligrams of sulfites per serving has been reported to elicit severe reactions in some asthmatics. Analysis of the Chinese Wolfberry revealed it contained 12.87 milligrams per serving.
