By the year 2011, Soroca could have a cleaning station
The project environment infrastructure „Construction of a cleaning station in Soroca Town” was launched in Soroca, a locality situated on the bank of the Nistru river, DECA-press Agency transmits.
Two experts – dr. Konrad Buchauer (Austria) and Takao Ikegami, chief of the team Alimentation, Water and Drainage of the World Bank, informed the authorities of the district of Soroca of the peculiarities of the project, which is estimated at nearly 10 million USD.
On a piece of land allocated by the Mayoralty of Egoreni, a biological pond will be created, constructed according to European technologies. The project of construction of the biological pond in Soroca is the unique in this region of Europe. A grant in in this context was offered by the Global Environment Fund, the Pilot Project of the World Bank. The Government of Republic of Moldova will also contribute to the financing of the project.
