Authorities: Dog held down home invader
Authorities in Orange County, Calif., said a couple detained an alleged home intruder for sheriff's deputies by having their 180-pound Great Dane sit on him.
Lt. Ted Boyne of the Orange County Sheriff's Department said the husband, who was in a cast due to recent leg surgery, used his crutch to attack Zachary Chanoski, 22, after his wife discovered the alleged burglar in their Ladera Ranch living room at about 2 a.m. Wednesday, the Orange County Register reported.
Boyne said the wife grabbed a baseball bat and helped her husband bring Chanoski to the ground.
Then Marmaduke sat on him,
Boyne said.
He said Chanoski was treated by firefighters for minor cuts and bruises after he was taken into custody by deputies.
